    It/about

Your potential is really up to you. It doesnít matter what others might think. It doesnít matter where you came from. It doesnít even matter what you might have believed about yourself at a previous time in your life. Itís about what lies within you and whether you can bring it out.

I would like to know the meaning of "It" and "about" in the next sentence.
Itís about what lies within you and whether you can bring it out.

I'm not a teacher nor a native, but I think I might help you with this issue.
"It" represents "your potential",and " about" is same as "concerning",so the sentence can be rephrased in this way,
"Your potential is concerning what lies within you and whether you can bring it out."
    I hope it helps .
