    as i did then

    Even though i have flown many times now,i still find it as exciting and thrilling as i did then."as i did then" what does this sentence mean specificaly then,,what's the use of it here?

    'then' refers to an earlier time. Example: Even though I have flown many times now, I still find it (flying) as exciting and thrilling as I did the first time I flew. Or: ... as exciting and thrilling as I did when I was a child.

    Context would be helpful, but I imagine that the speaker is referring back to how he/she felt the first time they flew.

    "As I did back then" sounds more natural. Using this, he/she means to say that he/she feels the same now as he/she felt in the past flights.
