    Rang vs Rung Question

So I really should know the answer to this one. But I thought I did, and then Microsoft Word corrected it! But Word isn't always right, so... I thought I'd try asking here.

This is my sentence: "It rung a bell, now that hed said it."

Is it rang or rung? Word says "rang," but "rung" sounds right to me... Any help would be appreciated. : )

    Re: Rang vs Rung Question

    Ring - Rang - Rung
    Sing - Sang - Sung

I do ring, and I will ring, the bell.
    I rang the bell.
I have rung it enough already. I quit.
