do i need the word "the"?

    Hi,

    Question:
    Is the word "the" optional?
Do I need the word "the"?

    Sentence:
I made 2 comments about the areas that should be corrected.

    My opinion:
I am describing all areas that should be corrected (I am talking about something specific), so I think I should need "the".

    Thanks
