    Dear teachers,

    We learn "cannot" or "can't" as a negation of "can" in Japan.
    Do you use "can not" ? What situation ?

    "Can not" is the way some people spell "cannot." It is not the correct spelling, but it is very common. "Can't" is the contracted form of those words. You can use the three interchangably.
