    Sweetums is something like a nickname.
    Honey, darling, sweety, sweetums...

    2)
    Wolfs hoot (at full moon).
    Or when an animal is hungry, hurt, and so on.

    3)
    I think he stood up and then he sat back down.
    (You stay up to watch out of the window and then you sit back down.)

    4)
    This is just beating or punching on/at something.
    (In this case on/at the table.)

    5)
    It means that someone falls off something.
    You sit on a chair and a person drags it.
    Then you fall off and yell "Ouch!"

    Wolves howl, owls hoot, and it's nothing to do with being hungry or hurt.
