"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming. WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"
This is one of my favourite English quote, and I have found many version of this quote from the internet.
In the above version, I've long since wondered that is there any symbolic meaning of both "chocolate" and "champagne" from the underlined sentence.
I really do like to think that "chocolate" symbolizes "Love", but have no idea about "champagne".
What do you think?
"chocolate" is a symbol of comfort; "champagne" of luxury. Too much of either can do you harm, but both are delicious.
