    Cool respite

    Hi,

    Is the following sentence correct?

The deal gave us a short moment of respite.

it's correct, only the "short moment" bothers me. if you want to say that
eg. company is in financial problems and has closed a deal so they can suspend all payments,... then it's better to say:

"the deal gave us a temporary respite of payment."

Thanks. It was translated from a French sentence "moment de répit" That's why I used the word "moment"
