I don't quite remember the scene from the movie, but "holding up the show" means preventing the smooth running of whatever's happening by being slow or lazy. It generally has nothing to do with shows or performances (although it could).
I haven't heard of Anglika's definition. Maybe it's British.
"Putting me behind" means "causing me to be late".
