    Respeted/Respectful

I tried a lot but i didn't find the word 'Respected' in any dictionary.

Is this word exist ? Though it is past participle adjective.

Should we strictly use respectful ?

    Or 'respected' can be used

Respected Definition | Definition of Respected at Dictionary.com This link says a little about "respected" near the middle of the page.
Does this word exist? yes Though it is past participle adjective.

Should we strictly use respectful ? No, "respectful" has a different meaning.

Or can 'respected' be used? yes
"respected" means 'well thought of', held in high regard'.
"respectful" means showing respect to others and to things and ideas.

    'Respected' - others respect you.
'Respectful' - you show respect to others.

So, one could be either respected or respectful, or both.
