    jingle bells

Hello :) IŽd like to know what this - in Jingle Bells song means: Now the ground is white Go it while you're young, Take the girls tonight And sing this sleighing song; Just get a bob-tailed bay two-forty as his speed Hitch him to an open sleigh And crack! you'll take the lead. TWO - FORTY AS HIS SPEED- how to explain that ? Thx a lot :) Zelva 23

    Re: jingle bells

The horse trots a mile in two minutes forty seconds, so this is a fast horse. Competitive trotting races are run in terms of the time taken to cover the distance.
