Besides taking a regular course, I recommend:

movies, movies, movies, books, movies, movies, radio, UsingEnglish, songs, movies, movies, songs, UsingEnglish, movies, movies, news, songs, books, newspapers, movies, UsingEnglish, movies, ...

That's the way I do! When you are tired of reading a book, watch a movie.
When you watch/read something interesting come to UsingEnglish and share it with us.

Thank you for your answer, I will try what you recommend, but I heard that watching lot of movies is bad, because when you want to imagine something new you stay just thinking about what you saw in movies or something like this, I don't have detailed informations of this.
Do you think that is true?

No, I don't think that is true.

Watching movies is really a very important source for my English training.
Of course you have to rely also on more traditional methods for learning grammar rules, formal English and so on. But I think there is nothing better then watching movies to get in touch with real spoken English (besides traveling to an English speaking country of course).

    Hi Tchania.

I'm a English student too, and my advise to you is to watch soap opera in English, because in those shows they speak very clearly but sometimes are a bit boring.

There is no better way, it seems to me, than learning typical English sentences. You will get correct English "in your ear" and before long you will start finding these sentences recombine in new ways -- perhaps even in your dreams! It will also help you recognize phrases and expressions you hear in those movies and soap operas. By the way, news reports are often easier to understand, at least at first.

It's hard work but it will quickly pay off. Good luck!

Listening to the same audio files again and again would help to get the rhythm of the language.

And when reading, read parts out aloud so that you get used to the sound of your voice speaking another language.
