    tired appearance

    What adjective best defines the appearance of a person who has just lost a friend, or gotten a divorce? Haggard? Drawn? Another one?

    I would use īdevastatedī to describe someone that has gone through a shocking experience.

    A good word that describes the condition. How about "shattered"? His face looks shattered.
