    simple past or present perfect

I used to say, " I have graduated from AAU in 1990." But As the specified time is in the past, I think I shouldn't say " have graduated", instead,I should say "I graduated." Am I wright?

Whenever you know exactly when something happened you should use The Past Simple Tense.
