    Smile Conditional Sentence

    Dear teacher,

    1. If you studied hard, I am sure that you will pass.

Is the above sentence correct given that you tell your friend of the above sentence when you both are waiting for the exam result out and, of course, both have already taken the exam ?

    your guidance is highly appreciated.

    Thanks.

If you have taken the exam and are waiting for the results, then you have already passed (or failed).

    Matter of philosophical approach.

Whether you have passed will turn out only after your results have been declared officially. Your results are not predestined. Maybe your teacher has his ups and downs and when he is in a positive mood, his pen is poised for ticking more often than otherwise.
