    Are the words photo and picture like synonyms? Can you talk about a photo in a magazine? Thank you for any comments!

    I think that there might be corresponding couples in the languages (other than English) like the picture-photo (short for photograph) duo. (In turkish, "resim-fotoğraf"). So, I assume there might be something like this in German.
