    IS THIS SENTENCE CORRECT?

    Not only can people show their support to this organization, but they can also play a role in saving patients' lives

    If I write that,
    "Not only can people show their support to this organization, they can play a role in saving patients' lives as well.

    Is it correct grammatically?

    thanks

    It is okay with "as well", if you keep "but";

    Not only can people show their support to this organization but they can play a role in saving patients' lives as well.

    You may also use "also" instead of "as well";

    For me, it loses the flow without 'but'.
