From this experience, I understand that I am good at cooking.

    Hi,

    Background:
I didn’t know that I am good at cooking before.
One day, my girlfriend told me to cook some food.
Then, I found that I am good at cooking.

    Question:
    1) Can I say the following sentence?
    2) should I use “from”?
    3) should I use present tense or past tense?

    Sentence
From this experience, I understand that I am good at cooking.

    Thanks
