Staying fit and healthy, losing and maintaining weight involves/involve daily exercise. Many people struggle to find the time. It is all about habit forming behavior.

    I have 3 questions.
    1. I wonder why "involves" is correct.
    2. I would like to know the meaning of "It"
    3. I wonder if "forming" is gerund or anything.

    Re: involves/It/forming

    Hello Wow,

    1. Its subject is the combination of "staying fit" and "losing/maintaining weight", which the writer sees as a whole.

    2. "It" is quite vague; it refers to an implicit "[success in the project of] staying fit and maintaining/losing weight".

    3. "habit forming" should be "habit-forming". Thus "-forming" is a participle.

    Best wishes,
