    I wonder if there is any difference between "If(1)" and "If(2)".

    Sentence 1 is possibility.
    (In case of you need money... - maybe you need it, maybe not)

    Sentence 2 sounds to me like a rhetorical question.
    It is already known they can do it, but why can't they find a cure for the common cold?
