i have a problem with this word-spend. i do not know when i can use "spend on doing" or "spend doing"
somebody says that:
"spend money+on + v-ing
spend time + v-ing"
please help me!!!

I am unable to get to your real problem. The word ‘spend’ is a transitive verb but can be used as intransitive. So it can take an object (noun or pronoun) directly as well as a prepositional object.
You spend
something on
something/somebody.
The first something is the direct object and it can be
money/time/energy.
Thesecond something/somebody is prepositional object and it can be
noun/pronoun/noun phrase
You spend money on
her. (pronoun-your girl friend)
She spends a lot of moneyon
clothes. (a noun)
We spend a lot of money on
buying a new house. (a gerund/noun)
You can use ‘time’ in a similar way as money.
You spend less time on your
homework.
But you can spend time with/in/at
something/
somebody(prepositional object)
I want to spend more time with my family.
We'll have to spend the night (time) in
a hotel.
Of course, as an intransitive verb,
you say: spend time doing something. We do not normally say: We spend money
doing something.
You spend less time
doing your homework.
You spend much time
playing chess every day
