    Grammatical or Logical Completeness

    I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out what WORD I need to add to the following sentence to make it grammatical or logical sentence. Can someone please help?

    1. Preferring examples from dressmaking to other occupations, she chose stories that illustrated her points and let the anecdotes speak for themselves.
