    is this good English

I had to translate the following from my native language into English. Could you, please, tell if it sounds OK in English:

"Thus the team is a group of individuals, each individual being part of the whole which is greater than the sum of the parts. The potential of the team is greater than that of the individuals working separately or the groups in which they work."

For such a general description of a team, you should use indefinite articles or plural forms instead of your bucketful of definite articles.(but not all of them , check once again)

I would put a comma after "seperately", other than that it's fine in my opinion.

It is fine with the changes I made. (I don't really understand or the groups in which they work.)
