She is like an American, every word she speaks and every gesture she makes.
Is the underlined sentence a complete one? Is it OK to express things in this way?
Somehow, I felt it a little odd.

"She is like an American in every word she speaks and every gesture she makes." sound less odd to you? The underlined part of your sentence is not even a sentence itself. I am not sure, if it completely OK to say so, but in speech, I find it acceptable. But I am not a native speaker.
