Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?
The Lord, who is rich in mercy, and ever willing to answer the consistent prayer of the humble, after we had called upon Him in a fervent manner, aside from the abodes of men, condescended to manifest to us His will.
condescend = have the kindness to; deign
manifest = demonstrate; display
A teacher should never make the mistake of condescending to children.
condenscend = be indulgent
I'm surprised at you, condescending to such tricks!
condescend o.s = debase o.s
I never thought he would condescend to cheating.
condescend = degradate
He seemed to be condescending all the time he was speaking to his staff.
