Dear teachers

is the preposition needed in this case?

My car is half paid for.

Thanks

The preposition should be there like in the following;

I have paid holidays = My holidays are paid (my employer pays me while I'm on holiday)

My holidays have been paid for (someone has paid for them) actually they are always paid for (by my father).
