Today a student has prompted me to ask myself which prepositions are possible with the verb 'aim'.
'In', 'at' and the infinitive marker ('to'), I immediately thought.
In her composition she used 'to' which seemed wrong. (I stupidly forgot to record her phrase) Not having found any clarification on the web, and Fowler not being too helpful, I thought I'd join - belatedly, undoubtedly - this community.
I look forward to participating.
Thanks in advance for any pointers (to any comprehensive external web resources) and answers to this specific question.
