    It excites (me)

    Dear teachers,

I know, of course, one usually says 'it excites me'.

But can you also drop the 'me', and just say 'it excites'? (When you want to make some kind of general statement.)

    Re: It excites (me)

So you'd like to say "t excites" instead of "it's exciting", am I right?

    Re: It excites (me)

    Yes, you are right.

Because you see, I am a... (drumroll) poet, and the only thing I can use in this particular poem, at the end of this particular line, is 'it excites'.
I cannot use ' it's exiciting', neither can I use 'me' at the beginning of the next line.

    So you see my problem!

I think that if it's poetry, you can write whatever you want. The good thing about it is that excite is always transitive so it won't be mistaken for anything else.
    I am not a teacher.

You can. For example, "Nicotine excites before it relaxes".
