    cut to the meat?

I've heard a teacher telling a student to make his presentation short by saying:

"cut to the meat" or something like that. Is there any phrase that conveys what he was saying

    Re: cut to the meat?

    I’m not a teacher.

    Hi Daniellll,

In my humble opinion the mentioned phrase is irrational. I have never seen the like of it. I know only the phrase “cut of meat”. There is a more appropriate phrase “cut to the bone”.
