    Please tell me, should I use the comma in this case?

    In the Moscow region of Russia, the mesofauna in strawberry plantations was not investigated for 30 years now.

    ***NOT A TEACHER***(1) I believe a comma is absolutely necessary. (2) If I understand your sentence correctly, I think you should say: the mesofauna in strawberry plantations HAS NOT BEEN INVESTIGATED for 30 years now (or: for the last 30 years). Thank you.

    I'd call it optional. In a more complicated sentence, I'd use it.
