    im so sorry. i really dnt know if i am at the right thread.. but i just wanna ask this.

    diff. of ESPECIALLY and SPECIALLY or should i say the usage???

    ***NOT A TEACHER***nayr, good afternoon. (1) I think that it would be very helpful if you read online dictionaries. They will give you many examples of "specially" and "especially." (2) Here are two sentences that may help you to understand the difference: (a) Mona came to the United States specially to learn English. = that is the only reason why she came here; (b) George came to the United States especially to learn English. = that is the most important reason, but he also has other reasons (he wants to visit Hollywood, say hello to some penpals, etc.).
