I would write "under this view," which is the same as "according to this view."

I'm not a teacher.

How about 'by this view'? Is it a rare/ungrammatical use of language?

I think "by this view" is also correct; it just sounds odd to me. I've read "by this theory" in one of my law books, so "by this view" should also be correct.

I've read it in an academic paper. In what context would you use it as a synonym for 'according to this view'? Or is it better/safer not to use it in any context?
