My advice isn't to put off your home work.

My advice is not to put you off your home work.

    "Put off" means to delay.
"Put you off" means make something seem less appealing to you.

    Which did you mean?
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

It's right if you don't use the contraction.

Don't put off doing your homework. Do it now so you can enjoy your evening.

If you ever see sausage being made, it will put you off eating it, I assure you.

    Hi,

What is the strange thing about sausage? Are you you going to cook sausage or would you simply say him that it's better to make its homework now and not to pospone it.

    Am I right Miss. Barbara?
