What does it mean to jump into someone's grave? Thank you!

It is used ironically: when someone takes something with undue haste. As in would you jump into my grave as quick? It is colloquial and informal; certainly used as a London expression

Thank you very much! It was in the British movie Hot Fuzz. Nicolos from Met was made sergeant in the country and his was said to be waiting to jump into his predecessor's grave.
