    vile

Is this word used in informal speech? Who could say it? A hillbilly boy from Texas or rather an educated man from London? Or maybe anybody?

    Re: vile

Surely hillbillies come from the Appalachians, not from Texas.

As to "vile", I would think this is an educated person's word.

Really? I thought they might be found in any mountainous (and remote from centers of civilization) territory as East Texas or Polish Tatra. Good to know then.
edit: I did a little searching and found this: http://www.hillbilly-music.com/progr...x.php?prog=280 They seem to call themselves hillbillies? That's what I understand from this.
