I am also studying TEFL, and facing problems in doing my projects. the teacher is unable to give any proper examples of the difference between global listening and discreet listening:-?what i understood is only that discreet listening focus on limited listening activities and provide practice in sounds words or sentences, while global listening activities emphasizes on a wider context focusing correct pronunciation along with providing vocabulary for a specific situation. can anybody give example of such listening activities?:roll:

I get around 800,000 hits on Google for "global listening skills" and 60,000 for "discrete listening skills". Many of these sites look like they discuss the type of information you want.
If you cannot access Google, other search engines are sometimes almost as good.
Do you think this sort of search might help you?
