    what does "the seventh game" mean

    Hi, my dear friends. I am eager to get your help.

    The seventh game of any play-off sereies is always special, win or lose.

    I can understand the gengeral meaning of the sentence. But I can't figure out the meaning of " the seventh game ". What does it refer to ?

    I think it's about the importance of seven which given to by the peoples whose cultures are connected one or other way to the religions which were born in the Near East. Otherwise, it would have been three or five games.(my opinion, of course.)
