    Cool pítch night?

    Hi,

I think I overheard something like "....it was a pitch night..." Does it mean something like a very dark night?

    Re: pítch night?

It is more common to say: The night was pitch dark. It is a simile, a comparison of how dark the night is to the substance which is well-known for its dark colour.
