The best way was / was to x vs x was the best way

    Hi,

    Question:

    1) Which sentence is more native / correct?
    2) If none of them is good, could you please rewrite it?

    Sentence1:
Reducing the number of question was not the best way to solve our problem.
The best way was to send them the questions before the class started.
    Sentence2:
Reducing the number of question was not the best way to solve our problem.
The best way was sending them the questions before the class started.

    Sentence3:
Reducing the number of question was not the best way to solve our problem.
Sending them the questions before the class started was the best way.

    Thanks

All of the alternatives are equally valid.

I favor the first one as the most natural, but all are grammatical.
