    Which One Is Correct?

Which one of the following is correct? Are they both correct?

1- "Her voice sounds as if inmersed in water"

2- "Her voice sounds as if she were inmersed in water"

    Thanks

Her voice can't be immersed in water, but she could be immersed in water.
