    Hi,

    Right: I agreed
Doubt: why was is not used here.

Wrong: She was half sleep the time you called me this morning.
Right: She was half asleep the time you called me in the morning
Doubt: why asleep is used here?

Wrong: I used to take five words new every day to learn English
Right: I used to chose five words new every day to learn English. usage
Doubt: Why can’t I use “take” here

Active voice. It was YOU who agreed. Nobody forced you to agree.

Sleep is a verb; asleep is an adjective. You can't use auxiliaries with infinitive.

Do you understand the words 'embodiment', 'incarnation'? It's about the same thing. "He was regarded as the pure manifestation of fortitude and courage."
Another meaning is an indication or a sign of something: "His improved English is a clear manifestation of his diligence."
It can also mean a public demonstration.

    Re: Few doubts

    to agree
    to sleep
    to be asleep
    .......
I used to pick five new words from my English dictionary in order of alphabet (or randomly) to improve my vocabulary.

PS: Please don't ask multiple questions in a thread. One question at a time.
