    Post Re: Arrive v/s Reach

arrive is intransitive verb and it doesn't take an object.
reach is transitive verb and it takes an object.

    Here are some examples

    1. I reached the city last night.
    2. I arrived late last night.

There are certain verbs cab be used with the 'arrive' but not with 'reach'.
    1. We are due to arrive in London at six o'clock
    2. The package failed to arrive.

    'arrive' followed by preposition 'at'
    1. We arrived at the hotel late
and with phrases like the first/last to arrive
