    as well.... me either/me too

I'd like to know how to use ' as well ' correctly. I often hear native speakers saying that non-native speakers kind of 'abuse' this phrase frequently. So I'd like to know how would English speakers use it and during what kind of circumstances. Besides I always confuse when to use ' me either ' and ' me too '. Can someone pls give me a picture of this?

    thanks

    I did it as well.

You can use 'as well' here, though you could also use 'too'. However, you can't use 'as well' in a short answer:

    'I was there'
    'Me as well' (incorrect)

I wouldn't use 'me either' at all. You do hear 'me neither'.
