    Cleft sentences

    Hi,
    Can you tell me which of the following sentences is correct?
    "It was a postcard that he sent to me" or "It was a postcard that he sent me"

    (1) I think (think) both are correct.

    (a) He sent me a postcard. > It was a postcard that he sent me.

    (b) He sent a postcard to me. > It was a postcard that he sent to me.
