    Regarding the usage of "s"

Sentence: "Some say(s) it is wrong"

My question/doubt: Should the word "say" in the above mentioned sentence have "s" at its end ?

PS: Source of confusion is Google, saw lot of people saying say with "s" at its end "some says" - Google Search My own hunch is "s" would not come at the end of word say. Tell what you think.

    Thanks

I cannot think of any reason why there would be an "s". The word "some" in this context is used to mean "some people" and is therefore the 3rd person plural (they). Consequently, the very must be "say" not "says".

I clicked on your Google Search result and in the first hit, the person who posted it has made a typing error. Their question should have said "What does it mean when SOMEONE says........" In that case, it would be 3rd person singular, and therefore "says" is correct.
