Which sentence is better?
Imagine you now find something out about a person and then you say this sentence:
I didn't think he is a snitch.
I didn't think he was a snitch. - Sounds wrong, because it sounds like Simple Past
I didn't think he were a snitch.
I hadn't thought he is a snitch. - I think this is wrong because thought and is don't match.
I hadn't thought he was a snitch.
I hadn't thought he were a snitch. - I guess this is the right one.
Well, would be is also an option...
