    gets that way

A: When I was in prison, it was easier for her. She knew what to do.
B: Gets that way. sometimes people we love just don't know the right move. crippled by the shit they are afraid of.

All I could found is this difintion of "that way":

that way, Informal. in love or very fond of (usually fol. by about or for): The star and the director are that way. I'm that way about coffee.

What does he mean by "gets that way"?

    Thanks

It gets that way = It becomes such a way.
When a man is in prison, it becomes such [a way] that it is easier for the woman. She knows what to do.
