    in these sentences

    facing the pure, horrifying precision...
    please what they use ing in face and horrify
    please what is the difference between could be fed and can be fed

    2)...the machines had found all the energy
    they would ever need.

    Facing- looking at horrifying- shocking, disgusting, terrifying
    It's the past tense- the sentence is about the past.

    2 = they would need at any time in the future
