Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to share with me your appreciated opinion concerning the following two sentences?

You needn’t have repeat it. (need – modal verb in present + Perfect Infinitive)

He didn’t have to repeat it. (to have – modal verb in Simple Past + Imperfect Infinitive)

#1 Must use the past participle with unecessary actions performed. "You needn't have repeated it".
