    a no breed dog

    How do you call a dog with no specific breed?

    Could it be "cur" or is this reserved only for an "inferior" dog?
    I mean, someone could have a beloved no breed dog.

    You can call it a mongrel which means; a dog of mixed or indeterminate breed.
